This is Travis’s version of the classic Jugtown Shoulder Vase. This form has been a great inspiration to many of Jugtown’s makers, and is characterized by it’s deceptively simple, yet elegant form. The glaze on this one is very unique; layered Dogwood White then a copper & cobalt over-dip, combined with dark salt glaze for a wonderful contrast. A very unique example of this combination. Wood fired stoneware from the Groundhog kiln.
