This vase was glazed in Dogwood White, then layered with a copper and cobalt glaze at the top. The reduction atmosphere during the firing, along with the salt applied to the kiln created the wonderful mottled colors, and the incised lines caught the glaze as it was melting. From the wood fired Groundhog kiln.
