This is a nod to the early Jugtown gourd vases, first made here around a hundred years ago. Travis has refined the form, and it is accentuated in Octarine glaze. Octarine - meaning the color of magic - was identified by Pam and Bayle when this glaze was in the testing phase, and it’s a very good description of the effects produced.
