This large pitcher is thoughtfully designed to be pleasing to use and have a great presence. The iron-rich clay in combination with the salt it was exposed to during the firing give it a very unusual look. The ash drips are created by the paths of flame and heat that carried fly-ash through the stacking chamber. This is a very cool and dramatic example of all these components coming together on one pot. From the wood fired Groundhog kiln.
