This is a familiar Jugtown form; Dogwood vases have been made here for almost a century. This one is from the wood fired Groundhog kiln and is in a copper rich glaze that is formulated to have a more matte texture; an addition of salt to the kiln during firing helped create even more mottling and surface feel.
