Schedule of New Pots Available and Events at Jugtown
Shop Online Page next update will be during the month of December
This year, our schedule worked out so that we can offer pots from three firings, on the first three weekends of December. This is a bit of a departure for us in December, and we hope you’ll be able to join us at Jugtown for one of these three Saturdays. Feel free to check in with us if you have any questions! Here’s the schedule at Jugtown in December:
Saturday, Dec. 6 - Annual Holiday Opening at Jugtown Pottery - lots of special pieces saved from various firings throughout 2025 will be available. We will have pots just out of the Groundhog kiln in Frogskin, Ash Glazes, Weathered Bronze, various copper glazes, Cobalt & Lavender, and more. We will also have a few select vintage* Jugtown pots available. A fun day to find unusual and exceptional pots!
*Regarding vintage pots: if you’ve visited recently, you may have noticed some rearranging and new signage in our Museum. We plan to do a bit more to better explain the Jugtown story in the coming months, as well as adding an additional display case. During the process we’ve been sorting through our collection and are happy to offer some vintage pieces for sale - we want them to go good homes where they can be seen and enjoyed rather than packed away! As always, proceeds from the sale of vintage pots at Jugtown are used to maintain our Museum.
Saturday, December 13 - New pots from the gas kiln will be in the Sales Cabin. This firing will include pieces in Blue Ridge Blue, Cinnamon, Dogwood White, Turquoise, and Honey Amber. We plan to have serving pieces, pitchers, canisters, mugs, and more.
Saturday, December 20 - New pots from the Groundhog kiln will be in the Sales Cabin. This firing will focus on Salt Glaze, and we will have pitchers, jugs, vases, mugs, and a few animals.
Fall/Winter Hours at Jugtown Pottery
Jugtown will be closed December 24-26 for Christmas; we will be open Saturday, December 27, 8:30-5:00, as some folks have requested a day to shop after Christmas.
Jugtown will be closed December 28 - January 2 for a New Year’s break; we will reopen Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 with regular hours.
