Beginning March 28, NCDOT has closed Busbee Rd. from NC Hwy 705 to Needhams Grove Rd. NCDOT will be replacing drain tiles under Busbee Rd. in several locations and expects work to be ongoing through the third week of April. Below is a map showing the recommended detour to reach Jugtown Pottery. Arrows in blue show our suggested route. You will notice alternative routes to the ones we suggest, but due to the fact that Busbee Rd. will be closed at different locations during the project, the detour we suggest allows you to avoid Busbee Rd. completely; however some sections of Busbee Rd. will remain accessible to traffic. The NCDOT detour routes drivers around Busbee Rd., but does not provide the most direct path to Jugtown Pottery.

If you are coming from Pittsboro on NC Hwy 902, Sanford, and other points east, you will likely be arriving via Cedar Hill Rd. At the intersetion of Cedar Hill Rd., Needhams Grove Rd., and Busbee Rd, you will encounter a detour sign. We suggest turning right onto Needhams Grove Rd., then left onto Brower Mill Rd., then left onto Jugtown Rd. Jugtown Pottery will then be on your right.

If you are arriving from the south through Robbins via Needhams Grove Rd, you will encounter detour signs at the intersection of Busbee Rd. and Needhams Grove Rd. We suggest continuing on Needhams Grove Rd., then left onto Brower Mill Rd. Then left onto Jugtown Rd. Jugtown Pottery will then be on your right.

If you are arriving from the north, through the town of Seagrove, we recommend turning off NC Hwy 705 before the detour signs. We suggest turning left onto Meadow Springs Rd., continuing on this road as it becomes Brower Mill Rd. then turning right onto Jugtown Rd. Jugtown Pottery will then be on your right.

You’ll notice some roads change names as you cross county lines - we try to show this as clearly as possible!
