Saturday, March 9 - Book Signing and New Wood Fired Pots

Join us in the Jugtown Sales Cabin for a book signing for “What Can We See?”, a new children’s book by Cynthia Monroe Albert and Jacob Monroe. Cynthia and Jacob, mother and son team from Robbins, collaborated on this wonderful children’s book about seeing animals in the forest through binoculars. This began as a school project by Jacob several years ago, and is brought to life with Cynthia’s fantastic illustrations. Many of you will remember Cynthia from her time working here at Jugtown, where she was an accomplished potter and great decorator. We’re excited to have the opportunity to present this book to our customers! Cynthia and Jacob will be at Jugtown on March 9 from 10:00-12:00 to sign books. We will continue to stock the book, along with several other children’s toys and crafts after this event.

Also on March 9, we will have new pots in the Sales Cabin from the wood fired Groundhog kiln. We will have decorated bowls, jugs, pitchers, candlesticks, and more in Frogskin, Ash glazes, light salt glaze, and various copper glazes. We will be open regular hours for this event; 8:30-5:00.

Visit Cedar Creek Gallery in Creedmoor, NC for this fun show. This show is in it’s tenth year and will showcase wonderful mugs from potters around the US. Each of the Owens at Jugtown will be sending a few special mugs; we’re excited to have been invited to be part of this year’s event! Click Here for more information about the show.
